Our Programs
Group activities
Friend in Need hosts a variety of group activities that serve as good opportunities for members to meet other members. Activities can include meetups at a local park, game events, movie nights, and other things that provide camaraderie. Events may be for the whole of Friend in Need or just for certain segments that enjoy certain interests. For example, autistics who are into certain types of games can have such an activity and the volunteers who enjoy these games will also participate.

Inclusive After School Program
This program is to be held on a regular basis. Weekly or multiple times a week is the ultimate goal. It will be an afterschool program for the youth participating in the program and that will include the disabled of all ages.

One on one activities
This involves the volunteer meeting with the disabled one on one, and the volunteer may bring a friend or a parent. Such activities work well for those who do not like to be in large group settings and can also lead to stronger bonds between the disabled and the volunteers.

Tutoring
Level 1 Autistics with high IQs are more than capable of tutoring students and Friend in Need aims to give them this job opportunity where so many disabled face discrimination. We aim to give more jobs to the disabled in other fields that relate to our organization and we aim to have Friend in Need staffed by a good percentage of disabled people.

Mentoring
Mildly disabled people who have faced a lot of adversity can be very good mentors to youth who also face adversity.
